What does GDPR mean for you?

GDPR Implications on you

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) becomes enforceable from 25 May 2018.

Theoretically, Brexit may cancel or alter GDPR, but the UK Government has indicated that data protection legislation will remain substantially unchanged.

In simple terms, the GDPR means that the ownership of an individual’s personal data, which is often treated as belonging to the data controller (i.e. Trace Solutions system users), now unequivocally belongs to the individual.

Understanding the terminology used in the Regulation is a key step on your path to ensure your compliance. We have produced a document to help our clients to understand this terminology and to advise them of our plans to further develop our software to improve efficiency of the compliance tasks.

If you are a Trace Solutions customer, we will be in contact with a full analysis of how the changes could affect you, and what measures we will add to our property management software to ensure you can comply easily and efficiently.

Or simply log in to see a more detailed analysis on your personal home page.

We will continue to release details throughout January and beyond.

If you’re not yet a client, then why not get in touch? You too can benefit from the Trace approach of true partnership with clients to support them through business and regulatory change.
